A publicly traded Real Estate Investment Trust is seeking a Transactional Paralegal hire that will be working closely with legal leadership in supporting the company’s real estate operations, acquisitions, dispositions, and financings for the company. You will have the opportunity to work with various transactional real estate matters on a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities of the Paralegal:
- Organize and facilitate closings, including drafting and reviewing a wide range of closing documents, assignments, consents and certificates.
- Prepare, review, and distribute tenant estoppels, confidentiality agreements, organizational documents and secretary certificates.
- Coordinate the receipt and review of title commitments and policies and surveys and assist in the resolution of title and survey issues
- Review due diligence materials and manage post-closing matters.
- Handle various public company and operational matters and a limited amount of administrative support for the legal team.
Requirements of the Paralegal:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Paralegal certificate a plus, but not required
- Prior experience in commercial real estate; industrial transactional work preferred
- Ability to be collaborative with all departments and take ownership of projects
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Superior communication skills both verbal and written
